Bridging Research and Conversation: My Journey with Grounded Theory Unbound

Grounded Theory Academy logo

Last week, I had the exciting opportunity to contribute a guest blog for the Grounded Theory Academy—an innovative online platform created by professors Melanie Birks and Jame Mills. The platform is a beacon for researchers seeking to deepen their understanding of Grounded Theory methodology.

My article explored the transformative power of the Grounded Theory Unbound podcast (available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Youtube), which I host. Through candid conversations with researchers and experts, this podcast has become more than just a platform—it's a dynamic learning journey that continuously reshapes my approach to research.

Podcasting has become my laboratory of discovery. Each interview peels back layers of complexity, revealing nuanced insights that textbooks cannot capture. From methodological debates to personal research narratives, these conversations are pushing the boundaries of how we understand and apply Grounded Theory.

Exciting developments are on the horizon for the podcast. While I can't reveal all the details just yet, researchers can look forward to more in-depth explorations and innovative perspectives.

Calling all Grounded Theory researchers: If you have a compelling story or groundbreaking research to share, I want to hear from you. Reach out to grounded-theory@aru.ac.uk and let's collaborate on expanding our collective understanding.

Stay curious, stay grounded.
